TUCKER SCOTT ⎮ Founding Partner and Portfolio Manager

Bergen Park Capital’s Founder and Portfolio Manager, Tucker Scott, has 19 years of experience overseeing international stock portfolios at Templeton Global Advisors - a pioneer in global value investing and subsidiary of the $1.5 trillion Franklin Templeton fund management group.

Mr. Scott joined the Templeton organization in 1996 as an equity analyst.  Over the next two decades he had research responsibility for a variety of global industries including: commercial services, internet software, mining, paper, transportation, electrical equipment, wireless telecom, and diversified financials.  Within these coverage areas, Mr. Scott performed rigorous bottom-up fundamental analysis, with a focus on European and Asian companies.

In 1999, Mr. Scott became Lead Portfolio Manager of the $2 Billion Templeton Global Smaller Companies Fund which he managed until August 2007.  Morningstar recognized Mr. Scott as the top global small cap fund manager during this eight-year period and ranked him as the top performer in the global peer group.

He took over the flagship $13 Billion Templeton Foreign Fund in August of 2007 and was Lead Portfolio Manager of that fund until January 2019.  Despite a difficult backdrop for value investing during this 11-year period, the Templeton Foreign Fund beat its EAFE benchmark and was ranked in the top quintile of peers by Morningstar.

Mr. Scott grew up in Menlo Park, California, and received a BA in History from the University of Virginia (1990) and an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College (1995).  He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation (1994).  He lives with his wife and three children in Kalispell, Montana.
