Tucker Scott

FOUNDING PARTNER & CIO

Tucker Scott founded Bergen Park Capital in 2019 to invest in small and mid-cap value equities outside the US. He chose this market segment for three reasons: its inherent inefficiency; the large valuation discounts in favor of smaller foreign value stocks; and his own comfort in these markets stemming from over two decades of relevant experience.

Before founding Bergen Park Capital, Mr. Scott was a portfolio manager and research analyst at Templeton Global Advisors, a pioneer in global value investing. He was lead manager of the Templeton Global Smaller Companies Fund from 1999 to 2007, a period where he ranked as the top performer in the peer group according to Morningstar. From 2007 to 2019, Mr. Scott was lead manager of the flagship Templeton Foreign Fund with $13 billion in assets. He ranked in the top 15% of Morningstar peers and outperformed the EAFE benchmark for the nearly twelve years he oversaw the Templeton Foreign Fund.

In addition to his portfolio management roles, Mr. Scott was also a research analyst at Templeton. Over his tenure he had analytical responsibility for several global industry groups, including software, wireless telecoms, business services, diversified financials, metals & mining, paper & forest products, electrical equipment, and transportation.

Mr. Scott grew up in Menlo Park, California, and received a BA in History from the University of Virginia (1990) and an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College (1995). He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation (1994). He lives with his wife and three children in Bigfork, Montana.
